Ranger Camp is located 3 hours from Johannesburg in the Entabeni Reserve. With five different ecosystems within the reserve, the Big game viewing, a rich variety of wildlife and exceptionally beautiful scenery promise an extraordinary safari holiday.
The elevated 15 tents constructed in canvas on a wooden deck is furnished in a classic luxurious style with an en-suite bathroom and outdoor shower.
The camp offers a range of tents that can comfortably accommodate a couple in intimate romance, a family of four in a deluxe 2-bedroom tent or just friends travelling in a triple sleeper.
The camp is child friendly with kids’ activities including full game drives (over 6years) and junior bush walks.
There are 15 tents, that consists of the following:
• 11x standard tents (Tents feature 1 double or twin and a day bed that can accommodate a child)
• 4x deluxe Family tents
These are set amidst the lush greenery of the reserve keeping you within personal touch of the environment while you experience the tented safari lifestyle.
Each tent is positioned with maximum viewing potential from your private terrace as the animals roam freely.
Rough Daily Planner at Honeyguide Ranger Camp
This is a rough itinerary of the guests’ daily experience whilst staying at Honeyguide Tented Safari Camps. There may be occasions whereby these times are not exact due to varying circumstances.
05h30: Guests are awoken with the beating of traditional drums. Tea/coffee and rusks are then served before guests meet at reception to go on their game drive.
06h00: Morning game drive – duration 3 hours approx. Snacks & tea/coffee offered during the game drive.
09h30: Breakfast. During breakfast, guests will be offered the opportunity of partaking in a Bush Walk with a ranger/s pending the number of pax interested. The Bush Walk is strictly for persons aged 16 years and older.
16h00: Afternoon game drive – duration 3 hours approx. Snacks & soft drinks offered during the game drive.
20h00: Dinner. This is a communal meal with guests sitting outside (weather dependent) interacting with each other and the rangers. The chef will present the menu to all guests once seated.
Our check-in time is 14h00 and our check out time is 11h00.
Included in your rate is accommodation, 3 meals (consisting of breakfast, lunch & dinner), daily bushwalk, bottled water in tents and 2 game drives per day.
Morning safari drives include a hot beverage and late afternoon/evening drives include a sunset drink.
We do advise our guests that excluded from our rates are an R75.00 community levy per person. This is a once-off charge per stay.
There is also a gate entry fee which will be included in your accommodation invoice. For all adults & children, this rate is R30.00 per person and for vehicles R50.00 per vehicle – This too is a once-off charge per stay.
Any additional charges you may incur during your stay are for your own account and to be settled upon departure of the camp.
