The end of 2020 saw the dawn of a new era of dining at Tintswalo Atlantic. Despite extremely difficult times in the hospitality industry, a successful collaboration between Tintswalo Atlantic and Chefs Warehouse has brought an exciting new restaurant to Cape Town’s dining scene. Chefs Warehouse at Tintswalo Atlantic features Liam Tomlin’s fine-dining quality global tapas concept brought to table by Chef Patron Ivor Jones, General Manager Jami de Witt and Head Chef Braam Beyers.

A set menu of contemporary tapas comprises of small plates for sharing in four courses. Ingredients are fresh, local and sustainable, paying homage to the ocean at its doorstep. A vegetarian menu is available while signature dishes oysters and risotto always feature on the menu. There is an option of a cheese course and a selection of desserts that may be ordered too.

Few places in the world offer dining so close to the wild Atlantic Ocean. A multi-sensory experience that takes place on the sprawling wooden deck, here guests may immerse themselves in the idyllic views and fresh sea breeze, or dine in the stylish dining room in cooler weather. Having received rave reviews during its first season of trading, patrons love the restaurant and bookings are taken months in advance. The boutique hotel has been freshly decorated in the signature blue and turquoise shades by the owners, mother and daughter team Gaye Corbett and Lisa Goosen. The new, private Residents’ Lounge is stylishly decorated with a touch of glamour, and includes a cosy fireplace, as well as outdoor seating under the Milkwood trees. It leads to the Massage Room and a temperature-controlled plunge pool with a sundeck and loungers overlooking the Atlantic Ocean where guests may daydream and soak up the sun. A range of sightseeing excursions may be booked, as well as transfers to the city’s tourist attractions.

Eight Islands Suites and a luxurious 2-bedroom Villa with a separate living area and terrace offer glorious views across the crashing waves. Individually themed and decorated, the suites are named after some of the world’s most famous islands, ranging from Robben Island, Madagascar and Zanzibar, to Corsica and Sicily. The suites are spacious, each with its own private deck and a lounge area with a wood burning fireplace, and a beverage station complete with an espresso machine. Spacious en-suite bathrooms have walk-in showers, dual basins and Victorian baths with a selection of fragrant soaps and pampering bath products.

Lauded as one of Cape Town’s best sunset spots, the golden hour is celebrated in style at Tintswalo Atlantic. Guests are invited to toast the special moment when the sun dips into the horizon with a complimentary signature Sundowner Cocktail of the Day and a selection of canapés.  After a good night’s rest breakfast is an extravagant, multi-course affair that is included in the rack rate.
